Traditional Locksmithing focused on cutting keys and opening and fixing locks, however todays Modern Locksmiths; known as Security Professionals, are required to keep up with the latest technology, in order to provide a wide range of security services including; access control, restricted key systems, CCTV, alarms, safes and vaults and automotive locksmithing services including the latest transponder keys. During the 4-year Apprenticeship, you will learn about all the traditional aspects of locksmithing while also focusing on the industry trends of the future.

We are looking for a mechanically minded individual to join our fun and dynamic team. This is a full time position, however part time hours may be considered for working parents.

About the role

The role requires you to work alongside our workshop team, assembling, commissioning and maintaining locks for customer orders.

The role will involve:

• Producing keys and cylinders for keying systems, including restricted systems
• Picking stock and components required for customer orders
• Reading and interpreting orders/ instructions
• Stamping all products as required
• Reviewing and quality checking all work produced
• Pack, label, address and distribute products

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• attention to detail and ability to take verbal direction
• good hand eye coordination – be able to work with small componentry

• exceptional time management skills with an ability to multi task
• A GREAT ATTITUDE – show initiative, be self motivated and be willing to have fun while getting your hands dirty.
